day 4

I didn't write latly because i've been extremely busy, but saturday and sunday I got to ride! Saturday Tabby was an angel, I was very impressed, but sunday is a whole new story! I decided I didnt need to lunge her since I rode the day before, that was a bad decision! She was horrible, she wouldnt stop no matter what, and she kept trying to bolt. I was upset, but I couldnt blame her. It was partly my fault since I decided not to lunge her. Saturday was deffinetly our "good" day! I was going to ride after work today, but it started to rain. Thursday is going to be really warm so I am hoping I will be able to ride then since its going to rain until tueday, and it takes about a "sunny" day for the arean to dry up outside! Well, time to go work on some of my homework! I will write more tomorrow!

day 3

Again, it was too wet outside to ride. I guess thats just was happens in spring...since mother nature is giving us this warm weather, she brings rain. Hopefully saturday it will be dry enough outside to ride! Now that springs here I cant wait for summer to come! Then I will complain about how hot it is outside! I guess you can never be perfectly happy! Jazzy did the cutest thing today, she is starting to attempt to drink water...instead of gulping, she just licks the top of her water bucket! Maybe she will be able to go outside saturday...unless of course it rains tomorrow. Tabby was her normal self today, not much new to say about her...again, maybe saturday! Well, my potato skins are almost done! Time to eat!

day 2

Today is another cold wintery day. I am really starting to wish that I had an indoor arena! I have a show coming up, May 3rd, and I really need to get some practice in before that time comes! I will be doing training level one and two, last summer I did intro A and B and had an average score of 59, its not the greatest score, but for our first summer of showing I thought it was pretty good, last summer was also the first time I started riding dressage, before that I did western. Jazzy (the filly) is doing good, she is starting to play more, which is both a good and bad thing, and Tabby is doing as good as usual! Well, hopefully tomorrow will be a more interesting day, I hear its supposed to get warmer!

day 1

Spring is that time of the year where riders of all disciplines come out of hibernation! The snow is gone, and the flowers are back! Although today reminds me of winter. Yesterday it was a whopping 57 degrees, and now today it was only 30 degrees! I was just starting to get back into my daily riding routine and then a snow storm hits. Go figure huh? Show season is almost here, but there is just no time to practice! The weather forecast says Wed. it should start to warm up again, hopefully the sun will come out and dry out my outdoor arena for me! My little quarter horse Tabby would really love to get outside and exercise those legs of hers! Tabby is a bay fourteen three hand quarter horse, she reminds me of the energizer bunny...always running around! I also have a one week old 1/2 holsteiner 1/2 national show horse (another thing I love about spring...babies!) she is a little chesnut filly, adorable as ever! She gets braver and braver every day! I will for sure be keeping you updated on her, as well as Tabby! Well, time to go to bed! Tomorrow will be here sooner than I know it!
